RIVER FUND is a frontline poverty organization serving New York City families with dignity and humanity. We believe education is the vehicle out of poverty, and food stability fuels the journey.

What began as a small food pantry has grown into a city-wide network supporting more than 3,000 families weekly. Through our Cradle to College Initiative, we guide young people along educational pathways while helping parents build financial security and access essential benefits.

Every program — from Food Access and Baby Showers to Scholarships and Career Coaching — is designed to meet people where they are and help them move beyond the lines of poverty.
