OUR APPROACH

“Education is our most powerful investment to move our youth beyond the lines of poverty”

RIVER FUND diagnostic method of approaching those living on the lines of poverty is our 'Family-by-Family Approach'.

​

Our Educational Pathways' foundation was established as RIVER FUND launched the nation's first-ever 'Child Poverty Awareness Day' in 2013. The program distributed backpacks and school supplies - age and grade specific - to thousands of children living in poverty in New York City.

Our Educational Pathways now serves as the capstone for our Cradle to College Initiative - expanding our educational horizons.

MARY C. TIEDEMANN SCHOLARSHIP FUND

The Mary C. Tiedemann Scholarship Fund helps to relieve pressure and offers bridge grants to students so that they can focus on their education with the goal of completing their degree.

CHILD POVERTY AWARENESS DAY

RIVER FUND launched the nation’s first ever ‘Child Poverty Awareness Day’ in 2013. CPA DAY evolved from our efforts to mitigate expenses parents face in providing essentials for the new school year.

KIDS WORLDWIDE

Kids Worldwide, founded by Robbie Stuart, is a socially and environmentally conscious fashion brand focused on supporting, empowering, and nurturing our youth. The children explore their creative potential in art workshops, and other creative outlets, including mentoring. A portion of proceeds from the garments sold benefit RIVER FUND youth and their families.

TUTORING INITIATIVE

RIVER FUND Tutoring Initiative provides support in range of academic programs from Kindergarten through High School...One-on-one sessions offer an individualized learning experience that helps to improve our student’s  self-esteem, academic performance as well as personal growth.
